Dry Needling
Dry needling uses thin monofilament needles to target muscular trigger points and disrupt the pain-generating neuromuscular dysfunction that keeps muscles stuck in a cycle of tightness and limited function. Guided by Western anatomy and neurophysiology – not acupuncture theory – dry needling is a precision tool for releasing muscular pain and restoring normal movement patterns fast.
Dry Needling Treats:
Neck pain and tension headaches, shoulder and rotator cuff injuries, low back pain and hip tightness, knee pain and runner’s knee, calf and Achilles tendon issues, and chronic muscle tightness that has not fully responded to stretching, massage, or conventional physical therapy.
Normatec Recovery Boots
Normatec recovery boots use sequential pneumatic compression to accelerate the body’s natural recovery process – mimicking and enhancing the pumping action of muscle contractions to move metabolic waste, reduce inflammation, and restore circulation to tired, heavy legs. Used by professional athletes worldwide, and now available as part of your recovery plan at BodyFit.
Normatec Recovery Boots are Ideal For:
Runners and cyclists experiencing leg fatigue and soreness, athletes in high-volume training blocks needing faster recovery between sessions, post-surgical or post-injury clients with lower extremity swelling, anyone whose job involves prolonged standing or long days on their feet, and clients wanting a relaxing passive recovery experience with real physiological benefits.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping uses negative pressure to lift and separate layers of soft tissue – decompressing the myofascial system in a way that direct pressure alone cannot achieve. By drawing tissue upward rather than pushing down, cupping increases blood flow, releases fascial adhesions, and reduces the muscular tension that limits movement and causes pain. The result is a release that feels different from anything else in the treatment toolbox.
Cupping Therapy Treats:
Chronic tightness in the upper back, neck, hips, and shoulders, athletes looking for a recovery modality that complements their training, clients with restricted mobility not fully responding to stretching, anyone with stubborn pain patterns that have not responded to conventional therapy, and post-workout recovery for high-volume training athletes.
Laser Therapy
Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) uses specific wavelengths of light to penetrate tissue and stimulate cellular repair, reduce inflammation, and accelerate healing at the biological level. It is painless, non-invasive, and has a strong evidence base for musculoskeletal pain, tendinopathy, and post-injury recovery – producing results in tissue that has been difficult or slow to heal through other means.
Laser Therapy Treats:
Tendinopathy including Achilles, patellar, rotator cuff, and lateral elbow conditions, acute muscle strains and ligament sprains, post-surgical healing and scar tissue management, chronic joint pain including osteoarthritis, nerve pain and peripheral neuropathy, and non-healing or slow-healing tissue injuries.
Trigger Point Release, CRAC, PNF & Nerve Gliding
Pain and restricted movement are rarely caused by just one thing. At BodyFit, our manual therapy toolkit combines Trigger Point Release, CRAC stretching, PNF techniques, and Nerve Gliding to address the full picture – the muscle knots, the restricted tissue, the neuromuscular patterns, and the nervous system pathways that are keeping you tight, guarded, and in pain. These are precision techniques applied in sequence for results that no single method achieves alone.
Trigger Point Release, CRAC, PNF & Nerve Gliding Treats:
Chronic neck pain and tension headaches, sciatica and radiating leg pain, upper back and shoulder tightness, hip and gluteal pain, carpal tunnel and nerve-related arm symptoms, calf and foot pain, TMJ dysfunction, post-surgical scar tissue affecting nerve mobility, and any client with persistent pain that has not fully responded to other treatments.
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training & Recovery
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) is one of the most evidence-supported advances in rehabilitation and sports performance in the last decade. By applying controlled pressure cuffs to the limbs, BFR allows clients to build significant muscle strength and size using loads that are a fraction of what conventional training requires – making it the ideal tool for clients in rehab, post-surgery, or anyone who needs to protect a joint while still producing powerful strength and recovery stimulus.
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training & Recovery is Ideal For:
Post-surgical rehab clients who cannot tolerate high loads (ACL, rotator cuff, joint replacement), clients with osteoporosis, arthritis, or chronic joint pain needing safe strength training, athletes managing cumulative training load, older adults combating age-related muscle loss, and clients transitioning from PT/Chiro to independent training.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization or IASTM is the use of tools or instruments which enables clinicians to efficiently locate and treat soft tissue adhesions and tightness. The technique was derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine called Gua Sha. Gua Sha was reportedly applied along meridians to move the “bad chi” out through the skin.
IASTM Treats:
Tennis elbow, wrist sprains, rotator cuff tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, thumb or finger pain, and fibromyalgia, as well as to manage edema and post-surgical scarring. It’s particularly helpful for promoting mobility, reducing tension, and improving tissue quality following procedures such as joint replacements, mastectomies, or Caesarean sections, helping you regain function and move more comfortably.
